Friday 3rd March.
Twenty4 is a gathering for leaders-of-leaders in ministry with children and families which is held in the ‘Twenty4′ hours before the IGNITE Conference. This pre-conference gathering has been designed to encourage and equip those who are the leaders of kids & families ministry in their church or organisation. Since 2013, ministry coordinators, kids & family pastors, and kids’ and family ministry leaders have found Twenty4 to be equipping and inspiring, while also offering an opportunity to share ideas and encourage one another. Once again, we are excited to present excellent speakers who are passionate about ministry with children and families.
Linking in with the “Faith for Life” IGNITE theme, topics covered at Twenty4 will include the following speakers:
- Rob Rienow talking about “A Senior Pastor’s Reflection on Family Ministry”. Rob pastors a church in Chicago, USA and will be joining us via Skype.
- Jill Kayser talking about “Creating Child Friendly Churches”. Jill leads the New Zealand based ministry Kids Friendly Churches.
- Michelle Tolentino talking about “Empowering Children”. Michelle, from the Philippines, is one of our guest speakers at IGNITE.
- Mike Hands talking about “Leading teams to do ministry well”.

Information about our speakers
Dr Rob Rienow
Dr. Rob Rienow’s most important ministry is loving his wife Amy and partnering with her to raise their seven children to love God. He is the founder of Visionary Family Ministries (www.visionaryfam.com) and has served as a pastor for 24 years. The mission of Visionary Family Ministries is to build the Church through a global reformation of family discipleship. Rob and Amy share the message of family discipleship at national and international conferences and he is the author of seven books including Visionary Parenting, Visionary Marriage, When They Turn Away, and Limited Church: Unlimited Kingdom. He has his Doctor of Ministry degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. The Rienow family lives in West Chicago, IL
Jill Kayser is the Kids Friendly Coach for the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand.
In 2004 and 2005 Jill developed the Kids Friendly initiative in response to research undertaken by PCANZ “Attracting New Zealanders to spiritual life” (AC Neilson 2002).
Since 2006 she has shared the Kids Friendly vision nationally and internationally. She has built a network of Kids Friendly churches and has seen a Kids Friendly culture form in the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand.
Jill has always been an enthusiastic advocate for including children in every aspect and practice of the faith community. Her studies during a sabbatical at Cambridge University in 2012 further confirmed her belief that effectively including and involving children in worship and other practices of the faitah along with all ages is vital to forming their faith.
As the PCANZ Kids Friendly Coach, Jill consults with leaders, develops resources and offers training on a variety of “Kids Friendly” topics for churches around New Zealand and internationally. The Kids Friendly team, headed by Jill, equips, encourages and resources churches to minister effectively to and with the children of their communities.
Michelle Tolentino lives in Manila and is the Co-founder and President of Made in Hope, a nonprofit organization that restores hope and crafts a future for exploited women and children in Asia Pacific. Michelle grew up in a small home with 17 relatives, several of her friends were sold into prostitution as young girls, and her father abandoned her family after years of drug addiction.
After receiving a Communication Arts degree, Michelle graduated with honours with a master’s degree in Spiritual Formation and Discipleship from the Theological Seminary in Chicago.
Michelle works with a team of children to co-host a weekly radio program aimed at children and youth, developing young leaders in Southeast Asia. Michelle remains fervently committed to bringing this same life-changing hope to those in desperate, hopeless situations around the world.
Michael Hands is the Generations Pastor from Newlife Uniting, on the Gold Coast, where he oversees Children’s, Youth and Young Adults ministry.
